Male Lead movies get to be both in 3D + rated R at the same time; all the time, from Dredd (2012) to the upcoming The Batman (2022). But women never get to star in a movie thats both rated R + 3D at the same time. When Birds of Prey (2020) was suppose to break that glass ceiling/barrier they cancel releasing the 3D copy of it. And now Birds of Prey 2 has been greenlit (release: 2023 or so).
Even such Male Lead movies such as "Mission Impossible Fallout" and James Bond; "No Time To Die" are release in 3D. But a Female Lead movie that would look way more better in 3D like "Those Who Wish Me Dead" (Angelina Jolie) gets released in Monoscopic 2D Only.
The majority of money that Comic Book movies make; comes from 3D Screenings, from Wonder Woman (2017) which got $822 million ($600+ million from 3D Screenings) to Captain Marvel (2019) which got $1.12 billion (over $800+ million from 3D Screenings).
70+% of men like 3D, but 90+% of women love 3D. So the fact that Male Lead movies so easily get greenlit to be in 3D, but Female Lead movies are constantly never being done in Stereoscopic 3D is 100% just backwards. Truth is; women are always perceive lesser then men in Hollywood, for example both Wonder Woman (2017) and Captain Marvel (2019) were only given a $150 million film budget per movie, but Male Lead movies like Black Panther (2018) are always given $200 million film budgets, hell "John Carter" (2012) got a Film Budget of $306+ million for crying out loud. (Now adjust that $306 million for inflation)
Let's make sure Birds of Prey 2 is release in 3D and get a Harley Quinn Double-Feature 3D re-release of Birds of Prey 1 and The Suicide Squad (2021) by signing the Petition and sharing it with everyone:
